Poloroids

Working with Polaroid SX-70 film, now an obsolete medium, has been another source of great pleasure and joy for me. The unique ability to alter images while they developed and their one-of-a-kind, tile-like qualities captivated me. The instant and interactive nature of the Polaroid SX-70 camera allowed me to manipulate the emulsion directly as it developed. I using a light box to scrape away some of the emulsion, adding collaged elements, or transferred the image by "floating" the emulsion in liquid, and capturing them onto watercolor paper.
