Poloroids
Polaroid SX-70 film, now obsolete, was another great joy and pleasure to work with. The ability to alter the image is what drew me to this medium, along with its one-of-a-kind, tile-like qualities. The Polaroid SX-70 camera was instant and interactive. I would manipulate the emulsion as it was developing by pulling it apart and scraping away some of the image. Afterwards, using a light box, I would go back in, adding elements of collage. I also explored transferring the image onto watercolor paper.
